PHOTOSHOP CORPORATE CONSULTANT

I was originally brought into Pony International as a digital colorist color consultant and workflow specialist to help the famous footwear giant set up and develop a digital approach to defining and reproducing their colors.

BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOSHOP EXAMPLES

The above Pony shoe is an early example of a process I developed they named "QuickStrike."

The process I developed was a workflow that cut each piece of a shoe into individual layers, copying and stacking sophisticated Multiply and Overlay modes, warping manipulations, transparency adjustments.

This process allowed designer to simply pull a fabric or color from a swatch book and instantly apply it to the cutout — this process morphs the fabric to the original shape and texture of the shoe while maintaining a photorealistic quality to the product.

HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP TO WIN SALES

For example, a sales person could be trained to apply swatches or colors to any part of the shoe — depending on what the buyer wanted to see — and the printout served as the contract, approved on the spot and on its way to shoe manufacturing factories China the same day.

Photoshop guru Gary Ballard personally developed this work flow for Pony International as their lead creative consultant and Creative Director.
